The client recently installed a heating system upgrade in their existing four bedroom detached home in Mullingar town. Ten Solo Radiators including two Solo 6 models and eight Solo 3 models were used. A new 90,000 Btu/hr condensing oil boiler was also installed replacing the existing 120,000 Btu/hr oil boiler. The ability to reduce the boiler size was due to the fact that Solo allows the designer to base the capacity on design heat loss, rather than the capacity necessary to increase the room temperature in a reasonable time. This is possible because Solo Radiator are essentially variable capacity radiators, responding immediately to how cold the environment is relative to desired temperature required.
