The client installed 24 Solo Radiators as part of a complete renovation on a 5000 square foot home in Johnstown, Naas, Co. Kildare. An Air to Water heat pump runs at night from 11p.m. to 7a.m., heating the water to 55^oC. In order to minimise on-off cycling of the heat pump, a 1500 litre buffer cylinder is used. This provides the necessary thermal storage to allow efficient operation of the heat pump. An oil boiler is used to provide a supplementary heat source, increasing the water temperature to 60^oC in the morning for showers. It then maintains the water at 55^oC for heating.
